I have switched makeup brands!!
I have never been true to any makeup brand except maybe Lancome but i just fell in love with Nars cosmetics!! I bought the famous Orgasm blush this weekend and am amazed by how much brighter my cheeks look!
This blush is gorgeous and it looks bright in the compact but actually goes on very sheer! The glitter is also really subtle. I loved this blush so much that I'm actually switching my whole makeup bag to Nars products. I have been stalking the Nars website and here are a few other products i plan on getting my next trip to Sephora..
"A glowing, satin-finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage. Replete with skincare benefits and the NARS Complexion Brightening Formula, skin is hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother. Used daily, Sheer Glow Foundation improves skin brightness, radiance and texture. For normal to dry skin types."
Gotta have my liquid eyeliner!
I think i will stick to Lancome Definicels mascara just because it works wonders but i cant wait to load up on all other Nars goodies!

Some of my mom's favorite things!
MOM - i really hope you are a dedicated reader and these little shoutouts arent wasted! Anyway thought you might enjoy these fabulous finds considering you talk about them all the time...
VELVET!! I know its not chocolate brown but still love this set!!
I know how you LOVE picture walls :)

Dont you have these in wood (brown)?? How cool is the silver-mirrored version?
I know how you LOVE picture walls :)
Don't be afraid of COLOR!
If anyone loves neutral colors, its me... but im starting to like the idea of adding "bursts" of color throughout my decorating plans.
The best place to play with bold paint colors is the half bath (if you have one) because it is most likely the smallest room in your house and can be as bright and wild as you want it to be without coming across as too loud. I love this burnt orangey-red color in this bathroom paired with bright mix matched prints!
You can still have your neutral colors but why not add some cheerful curtains?
Moss Balls!
It is bad Feng Shui to have fake plants in your home because they are "dead" but i think moss balls are an exception. They add some greenery without having to be watered! Awesome!
The simplest arrangement is to put your moss balls in a beautiful bowl and use it as an accent on a coffee table or even your kitchen counter!
The Man Cave
I know I'm single but i assume that one day ill be married and will be forced to share my beautiful dream home with my husband. Unfortunately, he will not be part of the decorating process but i do agree that every man deserves a "man cave". I think this is absolutely fabulous and any man would be satisfied with this! (Especially if he shot the deer hanging on the wall). The only thing i would change is the white bar chairs because i can only imagine how dirty they would become with a bunch of men hanging out. I think i would go for some rustic wooden stools or leather bar chairs... so masculine ;)
Touches of Pink
I LOVE pink... always have, always will! I think you can add touches of pink to your decorating as long as you dont go TOO bubblegum! Here are a few accents or touches of pink that i love!
P.S. I love Orchids! and if you want to keep those suckers alive apparently you are suppose to water them by putting ice cubes in the pot? Weird!

Nothing better than a stone fireplace!
I have been slowly designing and building my dream home in my head for years now... it really is fabulous. One of my favorite things in a home is a beautiful floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Its very rustic yet stylish at the same time. Here are a few pics that show what im talking about...
Honestly if i have the money when i build my home.. I will have a stone fireplace in my living room, my bedroom AND my bathroom.

New York Times
I cant stress enough how important it is to read... read gossip magazines, read literary magazines, read biographies, read fictional brain candy books... JUST READ!
Anyway, the New York Times is a good place to find fun stimulating articles...

Life really is simple...
1. You are at least ten times prettier than you think you are.
That holds true no matter how pretty you already think you are! Don’t believe me? Ask your mother/auntie/grannie if she thought she was pretty when she was twenty. She’ll say no. Then find a photo of her at that age. See what I mean?
2. The only thing you should be faking is confidence.
If you don’t have it yet, pretend you do. In every new situation, pretend you’re not nervous, pretend you’re not afraid. After a few times doing this, the pretend part disappears.
3. Want to try something new like painting, skiing, running your own business? Go to the library and borrow ten different books on the subject.
Skim through them all, find the ones that have the most vital information and study them. Then see number 2.
4. No matter how old you get, remember what it was like to be a nine-year old girl.
Remember the feeling of freedom. If you’ve already forgotten, do a cartwheel. You can so still do one. Savior that feeling. Wake up with it every day. You’ll stay young until the day you die.
5. In the same vein, cut or potted flowers are never a waste of money.
Because every time we glance at them, they remind us how much beauty there can be in the world.
6. Speaking of money, starting right this moment, whether you’re twenty or sixty, you can change your finances around.
Don’t leave someone else completely in charge, whether it’s your husband, partner, parents, or banker. Become financially savvy. Financial independence gives you the freedom to walk away from many bad situations. How do you know you’re in bad situation? See number seven.
7. If your stomach hurts and you haven’t got a virus, you’re in a bad situation.
Before you know what it is, your stomach always does. Give yourself some time to ponder what it might be that’s making your stomach hurt. Chances are you already do know, you just don’t want to believe it, for some reason. You can ignore advice from your friends, even your own brain, but you can’t ignore your stomach, because the stomach never lies. Oh, and by the way—drowning your stomach in alcohol won’t make it stop telling you the truth, either.
8. When meeting someone new and he or she seems to be behaving like an ass**le, show compassion first.
If after you display your sincere compassion, they are still acting like an assh*le, walk away. If they follow you, call the police.
9. Wear sunscreen on your face, neck, and hands every day, winter and summer.
I don’t care how dark your skin naturally is. Wear it. You’ll remember me when you look in the mirror at age fifty. Always keep in mind that Your body is directly connected to your spirit. Look after your body. Exercise, floss, and brush your teeth. Put nothing in your body that can permanently harm your spirit, including the wrong man.
10. And if you are in bed with a man and he’s the right man:
... meaning your stomach doesn’t hurt, he’s smiling at you, he knows your name, he’s not drunk, and neither are you—for godsakes—enjoy yourself. He is not at all thinking about how fat your thighs look.

Life is Simple
- Don’t try to read other people’s minds. Don’t make other people try to read yours. Communicate.
- Be polite, but don’t try to be friends with everyone around you. Instead, spend time nurturing your relationships with the people who matter most to you.
- Your health is your life, keep up with it. Get an annual physical check-up.
- Live below your means. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need. Always sleep on big purchases. Create a budget and savings plan and stick to both of them.
- Get enough sleep every night. An exhausted mind is rarely productive.
- Get up 30 minutes earlier so you don’t have to rush around like a mad man. That 30 minutes will help you avoid speeding tickets, tardiness, and other unnecessary headaches.
- Get off your high horse, talk it out, shake hands or hug, and move on.
- Don’t waste your time on jealously. The only person you’re competing against is yourself.
- Surround yourself with people who fill your gaps. Let them do the stuff they’re better at so you can do the stuff you’re better at.
- Organize your living space and working space. Read David Allen’s book Getting Things Done for some practical organizational guidance.
- Get rid of stuff you don’t use.
- Ask someone if you aren’t sure.
- Spend a little time now learning a time-saving trick or shortcut that you can use over and over again in the future.
- Don’t try to please everyone. Just do what you know is right.
- Don’t drink alcohol or consume recreational drugs when you’re mad or sad. Take a jog instead.
- Be sure to pay your bills on time.
- Fill up your gas tank on the way home, not in the morning when you’re in a hurry.
- Use technology to automate tasks.
- Handle important two-minute tasks immediately.
- Relocate closer to your place of employment.
- Don’t steal.
- Always be honest with yourself and others.
- Say “I love you” to your loved ones as often as possible.
- Single-task. Do one thing at a time and give it all you got.
- Finish one project before you start another.
- Be yourself.
- When traveling, pack light. Don’t bring it unless you absolutely must.
- Clean up after yourself. Don’t put it off until later.
- Learn to cook, and cook.
- Make a weekly (healthy) menu, and shop for only the items you need.
- Consider buying and cooking food in bulk. If you make a large portion of something on Sunday, you can eat leftovers several times during the week without spending more time cooking.
- Stay out of other people’s drama. And don’t needlessly create your own.
- Buy things with cash.
- Maintain your car, home, and other personal belongings you rely on.
- Smile often, even to complete strangers.
- If you hate doing it, stop it.
- Treat everyone with the same level of respect you would give to your grandfather and the same level of patience you would have with your baby brother.
- Apologize when you should.
- Write things down.
- Be curious. Don’t be scared to learn something new.
- Explore new ideas and opportunities often.
- Don’t be shy. Network with people. Meet new people.
- Don’t worry too much about what other people think about you.
- Spend time with nice people who are smart, driven, and likeminded.
- Don’t text and drive. Don’t drink and drive.
- Drink water when you’re thirsty.
- Don’t eat when you’re bored. Eat when you’re hungry.
- Exercise every day. Simply take a long, relaxing walk or commit 30 minutes to an at-home exercise program like the P90X workout
- Let go of things you can’t change. Concentrate on things you can.
- Find hard work you actually enjoy doing.
- Realize that the harder you work, the luckier you will become.
- Follow your heart. Don’t waste your life fulfilling someone else’s dreams and desires.
- Set priorities for yourself and act accordingly.
- Take it slow and add up all your small victories.
- However good or bad a situation is now, it will change. Accept this simple fact.
- Excel at what you do. Otherwise you’ll just frustrate yourself.
- Mature, but don’t grow up too fast.
- Realize that you’re never quite as right as you think you are.
- Build something or do something that makes you proud.
- Make mistakes, learn from them, laugh about them, and move along.
